Hi!  My name is Stacey Cornberg.  Since 2010 I've helped clients with social, academic, and behavior challenges.

I'm passionate about helping people to break through their social limitations to improve their lives.

I help in 3 specific ways:

In my personal life, I'm married and have two school-aged children. I take time out of my busy schedule to swim on a competitive club. I love swimming, plus those long workouts give me a great opportunity to reflect on my work while keeping fit!  I also love to travel. The most interesting place I've ever visited was Bali, Indonesia …it's so beautiful, and the people are so friendly.

I’m a licensed teacher in the Canadian province of Ontario with over 15 years of experience, and am a member of the Ontario College of Teachers

I have a Bachelor of Education degree, and also a Bachelor of Arts majoring in psychology, both from York University in Toronto, Canada.  I've also attended many training courses in the USA.

To make sure that I'm offering the latest and most evidence-based methods, I continually seek out professional development.  I feel more comfortable knowing that I can draw on the wisdom of many different experts rather than relying on a single methodology.

In recent years I've been trained by:

  • Social Thinking® (Michelle Garcia Winner)

  • Think:Kids (affiliated with Harvard University and Massachusetts General Hospital)

  • Queen's University (Faculty of Education)

  • Speech and Stuttering Institute (Toronto)

My clients face challenges such as:

  • Social communication deficits

  • Social challenges related to being gifted

  • Learning disabilities

  • High functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), formerly Asperger Syndrome

  • ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)

  • Self-regulation challenges at school or in the workplace

  • The desire to behave well, but not the skills

  • Too many disputes at home

  • Difficulty making and keeping friends

I don’t treat the “label”, I treat the behavior.
